Threaded rods for wall plates M10x12 Set of 4 pcs in galvanised steel or stainless steel

4.0

2 verified reviews

Fixing a shade sail to the wall means entrusting a few centimetres of masonry with all the force the wind puts on it.
The M10 threaded rods secure the wall plate: they anchor deep with injection mortar and hold their grip while the sail works above you. Choose them in galvanised steel for most British gardens and terraces, or in stainless steel, which fears neither rust nor salt air, where humidity and exposure run higher.

  • Complete set: 4 M10 threaded rods, 4 washers and 4 nuts
  • Galvanised steel or AISI 304 stainless steel: two finishes to choose from
  • Size M10 x 12 cm, for the wall plates of Maanta shade sails
  • Full hold with M-Plus injection mortar in the masonry

Choose between stainless steel or galvanised

Galvanised is the practical choice for most outdoor applications; AISI 304 stainless steel offers greater corrosion resistance in humid or salt-laden environments.

Combined with a nut, washer and injection mortar, they distribute the tension and keep the plate firmly in place while the shade sail exerts force.

FAQ

FAQ

It depends on where you're installing. Galvanised finish works well for most outdoor installations; AISI 304 stainless steel offers higher corrosion resistance and is the better choice where there's greater moisture or prolonged exposure – ideal for British gardens and terraces where damp conditions are common.

They are used to fix the wall plates of Maanta shade sails to the wall – the point where the sail transfers its tension.

Compatible with all Maanta wall plates designed for anchoring shade sails.

No: for pole bases and wall collars, you need the larger M10 bar, the M12 x 13 cm. These M10 bars are designed specifically for wall plates.

The set contains 4 bars: use one for each fixing hole in the plate. For more plates, simply add extra sets.

Galvanised steel protects against corrosion through a zinc coating; AISI 304 stainless steel resists thanks to its alloy composition and performs better in conditions of high humidity and intense exposure. The choice comes down to long-term outdoor performance, not size – which is identical in both cases.

It offers higher corrosion resistance than galvanised steel, but AISI 304 is not a marine-grade stainless steel like AISI 316. In highly saline environments, it can hold up well with periodic checks and an occasional rinse with fresh water — ideal for many British coastal gardens when properly maintained.

Diameter M10, length 12 cm (120 mm), standard right-hand thread: they use common M10 nuts and washers.

The holding strength depends mainly on the injection mortar used and the type of substrate. The stainless steel bars have a minimum breaking load of 600 N/mm².

Drill into the wall, blow away the dust, inject the injection mortar and insert the bar by rotating it, leaving enough protruding for the plate. Allow to dry, then place the plate and secure with a washer and nut.

Solid masonry and concrete. For hollow or friable substrates, such as perforated bricks, use a mesh sleeve with injection mortar.

Yes, we recommend it: it's the injection mortar that gives the bar a full, lasting grip in the wall, where the shade sail pulls continuously.

Occasionally check the tightening of nuts and washers. For the stainless steel version used in damp areas or near the sea, a rinse with fresh water removes salt deposits and extends their lifespan.
