Unless otherwise specified in the product's technical data sheet, the warranty period is two (2) years.
All Maanta by Bega Srl products are covered by the statutory 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects or non-conformities not caused by misuse, in accordance with consumer protection laws.
If an issue arises, customers can submit a claim using the dedicated form on the website, selecting “Claim” and attaching the required documentation (description, photos, proof of purchase).
Customers must inspect the products upon delivery and report any issues within two months of discovery.
The warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, incorrect installation, normal wear and tear, or modifications to the product.
IMPORTANT: This warranty is valid only if the product is used correctly and in accordance with the provided instructions. Installation requirements may vary depending on the type of surface, anchor points, local wind conditions, etc.
This warranty guarantees that all newly manufactured products (shade sails, poles, wall fixings and base plates) match the specifications listed at the time of delivery. A defect is considered valid only if the product's quality or usability is significantly compromised.
This warranty excludes any damage or defects caused by improper use or failure to follow installation and usage instructions. Normal wear is not covered. Furthermore, products that have been altered, repaired, or are no longer in their original condition are not eligible for warranty coverage.
We encourage you to consult the exclusion list below, which outlines product characteristics that do not constitute defects and installation conditions required to validate the warranty.
If the claim is deemed valid, Maanta by Bega Srl will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product within a reasonable timeframe.
The warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

- Damage caused by strong winds, storms, hurricanes, hail, snow, lightning or other extreme weather events.
- Tears, deformations or structural failures caused by adverse weather conditions.
- Damage caused by water accumulation on surfaces not properly angled for correct drainage.
IMPORTANT (for all products installed or exposed outdoors):
Do not leave products unattended during adverse weather. In the event of strong wind, heavy rain, hail or similar conditions, the product must be disassembled or secured to prevent damage. Failure to follow this guideline will void the warranty.
Note for Shade Sails:
Shade sails must always be installed with proper tension and an adequate slope to ensure efficient rainwater runoff and avoid pooling. Installing sails without sufficient slope or inadequate tension may result in deformation, damage or collapse, which are not covered under warranty.
b. Improper Use, Negligence and Incorrect Installation:
- Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, abuse or use for purposes other than those intended.
- Incorrect installation or failure to comply with the provided instructions.
- Structural or functional damage caused by improper installation of supports, anchors or accessories.
- Damage resulting from unauthorised modifications, repairs or additions without written approval.
- Malfunctions or defects caused by inadequate maintenance or failure to follow maintenance guidelines.
c. Accidental Damage and Third-Party Causes:
- Defects or damage caused by accidents or third parties.
- Damage resulting from theft, loss, or proximity to external risk sources unrelated to product quality (e.g. barbecues, fireplaces, ovens, electric cables, irrigation systems, plants, etc.).
- Damage from direct heat, sparks or embers from open flames.
d. Aesthetic Aspects, Wear and Natural Material Effects:
- Normal wear and tear due to sun exposure, weather conditions, and extended use.
- Superficial scratches, discolouration, or surface corrosion of metal or textile parts that do not compromise functionality.
- Creases, undulations, micro-perforations, rubbing marks or aesthetic alterations that do not affect product performance.
- Changes in chemical composition, tonal variations or discolouration due to UV exposure or other environmental factors.
e. Damage from Chemicals or Excessive Stress:
- Damage caused by exposure to chemicals (including chlorine) or contact with aggressive substances.
- Damage from over-tensioning, mechanical friction or exposure to open flames.
f. Limitations of Liability:
- Indirect or consequential damages of any kind, including personal injury, property damage or damage to surrounding objects.
- The warranty does not cover any costs for removal, reinstallation or mounting of products or replacement parts.
- Any further claims by the customer beyond those expressly covered under this warranty are excluded.
Warranty Limitations
All warranties and conditions (whether express or implied, statutory or otherwise) relating to the Product or its supply are expressly excluded, and Maanta by Bega Srl shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by any person (including the purchaser of the Product) arising from or in connection with the Product or its use (including losses or damages due to negligence by Maanta by Bega Srl or attributable to it). Where liability for breach of warranty or condition, or any other liability imposed on Maanta by Bega Srl by law, cannot be excluded but can be limited, Maanta by Bega Srl’s liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Where multiple limitations are available, Maanta by Bega Srl shall choose, at its sole discretion, the applicable limitation.
The company shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, special, liquidated, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of income, profits, use or goodwill, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or under any other legal theory, in connection with a breach of this warranty or relating to the sale, installation, maintenance, use, operation or repair of any product or service. In no case shall the company’s liability exceed the purchase price of the product or service in question.
Please Note
Colours of our fabrics may vary depending on the screen display.
The actual size of shade sails may differ from the specified dimensions. Sails are measured from eyelet to eyelet and, unless otherwise stated, are concave, meaning the edges curve inward. It is essential that the sail is installed correctly and with proper tension: slight size variations should not be a concern, as proper tensioning is key to both performance and aesthetics.
3.2 Safety Warnings and Installation Instructions
Shade sails must be installed securely and evenly tensioned to reduce the impact of wind on the fabric.
Loose or poorly tensioned fabrics may suffer premature wear due to mechanical stress.
Soft or sagging fabric can result in malfunctions and lead to further damage.
These issues are not caused by UV exposure and are not covered under warranty.
Regular maintenance is essential to keep the fabric properly tensioned.
While all Maanta by Bega Srl structures are tested for weather resistance, we do not recommend or guarantee the use of sails in wind conditions that exceed the specified limits (see product data sheet).
The warranty is only valid if the product is securely anchored using a suitable system.
We do not cover damage caused by contact with the ground, external objects, extreme weather events or other force majeure circumstances.
We strongly recommend removing the sails when not in use.
The warranty only covers safe, reasonable use in accordance with the product guidelines.
Fixing systems must be chosen according to the type of wall and must be installed correctly and securely.
Maanta by Bega Srl products must be used with due regard for weather conditions. Particular caution should be taken in the presence of wind.
We do not recommend or guarantee the use of sails in strong winds or beyond specified thresholds.
Sails should be dismantled when left unsupervised.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Wind
- Fire
- Theft
- Vandalism
- Improper use
3.3 Factors to Consider Before Installation
- Space and dimensions for anchoring
- Size and shape of the sail
- Strength of existing structures
- Sun direction and angle
- Feasibility of using fixing poles
- Distance from barbecues, ovens, electric/telephone cables, irrigation systems, plants, etc.
There may also be specific conditions depending on the installation context.
Sails must never be left free to move, to prevent fabric damage.
They must not be used for walking on, as hammocks or trampolines, or for any purpose other than their intended use: providing sun or rain protection.
The Maanta by Bega Srl shade sail is designed to offer UV protection and comfort in residential settings.
Proper tensioning and anchoring are essential for safety and the durability of the structure.
Check regularly. Exposure to chemicals such as chlorine can damage the fabric.
Before using chemical products nearby, contact Maanta by Bega Srl's technical support team.
Do not light fires under or near the sail.
Temporarily remove the sail in the event of storms, strong winds or snowfall.
Sails should always be taken down if they cannot be protected from sudden weather changes.
As wind speeds are unpredictable and gusts can be very strong, we always recommend removing waterproof sails.
The warranty is valid only if the user does not modify any tensioning systems or components.
The customer is responsible for the design, permits, engineering and/or construction required for installation.
Any damage caused by incorrect installation (including but not limited to: engineering errors, missing permits, poor construction, inadequate materials, etc.) is excluded from the warranty.
