Maanta Stories
Valle del Jerte — Extremadura, Spain
The cherry trees bloom only once a year, for just a few days, and those who live here know it well: beauty cannot be forced, only accompanied. The valley is nestled between the mountains of Extremadura, the air is clean, the silence has depth.
Moncho knows this silence from above too. He teaches paragliding, and has learned that the air — that same still, fragrant air of the valley — can change in an instant. He knows how to read the wind, he knows what it does when it decides to make itself heard.
Pilar and Moncho bought a plot of land in the heart of this valley with a clear idea: to build something of their own, at their own pace, in the right place.
Not just any house. A place to truly live in — morning yoga, outdoor lunches, afternoons suspended among the trees. The permits for the container home take time. But the space was already there, and they wanted to start living it.

The first shade solution didn't hold up. The valley wind carried it away within days — no surprise for anyone who knows how air behaves among the mountains.
From that moment on, they searched differently: not for the most convenient product, but for the right one.
They wanted quality, durability, serious materials. They found Maanta, and what convinced them straight away was the nautical-derived technology, the robustness of the materials, and the technical support. The same rigour that Moncho applies when he teaches people to fly.
Pilar and Moncho, Valle del Jerte
"We can say it with confidence: our Maanta shade sail is what truly brings our space to life. It not only protects reliably from the sun and wind, but creates a warm and beautiful atmosphere where we love to spend our time."
The shade sail is stretched over the chill-out area, between the poles and the Extremadura sky. It shields from the sun, holds back the wind, and gives the place that definitive shape which transforms a plot of land into somewhere meaningful.
To accompany this evolving outdoor space, Pilar and Moncho chose a custom Solaria +Plus Furl shade sail (retractable) with Alu Simple poles: a solution designed to grow with the project, adapt to the place, and last.
Because some homes are built first through choices, then through bricks.
