The measures of the sail
The indicated sizes refer to the distance between the rings of the correctly tensioned sail.
We always indicate the "size under tension", that is the definitive measure that the sail takes after approx. 14-21 days after assembly.

Concavity and measures in the center of the sail
All shade sails have a slightly concave shape. This concavity of the sides ensures that the tension applied to the corners optimally reaches the center of the sail.

For Saill and Solaria sails the concavity of the sides is 2% of their length, for EasyShade sails it is 5%.

Due to the concave shape, the sail is slightly narrower in the center.
For example, a 5x5m square Solaria sail has 4 sides of 500cm and is exactly 480cm wide in the center (corresponds to a concave indentation of exactly 10cm on each side).

Distance between the anchor point and the angle of the sail Please provide approx. 35cm-100cm clearance from each sail corner to the associated anchorage point.

This distance is essential for proper tension of the sail.

Example:
A sail with the dimensions 4 x 6m requires the following surfaces:

At least 4,7m x 6,7m = (4m sail + 0,35m + 0,35m) x (6m sail + 0,35m + 0,35m)
Maximum 6 x 8m = (4m sail + 1m + 1m) x (6m sail + 1m + 1m)

Too small an area provides too little space for attaching the attachment accessory.
If the distances are too long, the sail becomes unstable in strong gusts of wind.

Entirely designed and manufactured by the Maanta R&D team, Furler is the furler that can withstand the severe twisting of sails. The radial cut with narrower sail clothes ensures maximum resistance to wind gusts up to 80 km/h. Sail corners, the most stressed points of the sails, are reinforced by 9 layers of fabric joined by an elegant stitching pattern.

ARROWW+ REINFORCEMENTS

The innovative design developed by Maanta's R&D department is designed to provide unparalleled strength to the corners of sail awnings, the parts most stressed by mechanical traction and strong wind gusts. The overlapping of the 9 layers of fabric sewn with Sunstop® thread, visually form a fan that allows tension to propagate along the entire surface, therefore making the corners extremely strong. Maanta sails are the only ones to have Arroww+ reinforcements, making them recognizable for both performance and elegance.

Elasticity and seal

ZIGZAG SEAMS WITH TRIPLE STITCH POINT

Studied and applied by our R&D department, the zigzag stitching with triple stitch point is designed to provide the sail with greater elasticity when subjected to tension. Working like an accordion, it manages to ensure maximum performance in terms of wind resistance and intense mechanical stress.

ADJUSTABLE STRAPS

Two perimeter straps and one central strap, combined with multilayer reinforcements, ensure the maximum level of tension to prevent accumulation of rainwater. The straps are manually adjustable to calibrate the tension of the sails at any time.

Solaria +Plus Furl Breathable is not waterproof unlike Solaria +Plus Furl Waterproof which through its sealed seams does not let water through.

Solaria +Plus Furl Breathable thanks to the strong Meshnet® 320 fabric is hail-resistant and especially suitable for windy and gusty areas.

It is the only radial-cut sail that incorporates more than 10 technologies combined with the recognizable design. It also provides an excellent heat shield, ensuring airy and breezy shade!

The breathable sail awning is ideal for those who want to make full use of their outdoor space.

The breathable sail creates an airy shade area that is sheltered from UV rays. At the same time, it protects against hail and wind gusts.

The breathable sail is an ideal solution for covering outdoor parking spaces. The strength of Meshnet® fabric withstands the most extreme stresses such as hail and strong winds.

After its use is over, Solaria +Plus Breathable Furl can be easily wrapped around itself and left installed outdoors even during the winter season.

Adjustable perimeter webbing is part of Maanta's sail tensioning system.
